Safe Harbor has volunteer opportunities to fill school, project, club or civic obligations. Whether you need 10 hours or 40 hours we can help! We will work with your availability & requirements to help you get the hours you need and make sure you enjoy your time as well!

Student Volunteer Opportunities

MINnows & New Day Program Childcare Assistance
(Females 16+) Childcare makes it possible for mothers who participate in daily bible study and classes. Volunteers will assist New Day Staff as needed and be scheduled to work with MINnows as needed. A regular shift may assigned based on need.

Administrative Social Media Volunteer
We are looking for several students to be trained to visit our programming facilities, take pictures/videos, do short blurbs, stories, volunteer highlights, etc. Students will work directly with the Social Media manager and Volunteer Coordinator.

ReSource Warehouse and Gallery Volunteers Ages 14+
Unloading/sorting donations, cleaning donations to be put on sales floor, customer service, organizing fabrics & displays, light cleaning within the Warehouse and Gallery, Gallery assistance & register help. Open: Tuesday 10am – 7pm, Wednesday - Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday 10am - 2pm.

ReSource “Arty Party Room” Volunteers
Ages 15+ Are you crafty, creative, and someone who enjoys working with children? Children (and even some adults) make crafts using all supplies in Arty Party room. “Make It, Take It” for $5, each individual can use all craft and art supplies located in our “Arty Party” room for one hour. Guests make whatever their creative minds come up with and take it home. Birthday Party help is scheduled as needed.Open: Tuesday 10am – 7pm, Wednesday - Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday 10am - 2pm.

ReSource donation pick-ups, lifting and moving
Males 15+ Donation Pick up is an “as needed” volunteer position. However, having young men available to lift, move items, and do some of the more strenuous tasks is a much needed volunteer role at ReSource.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
Occasional yard work, automobile clean up, sanitizing Toys in the New Day children’s playroom, washing windows, help with specific projects and event, help with community outreach events, etc.
